Deck - Thoth
I shuffled the deck asking it to tell me about this week. Just an idea of what I'm in for in the next seven days.
Card 1 - The Empress
This card always freaks me out, because it used to be that if I saw this card, it meant a baby was on the way. Since I'm reading myself, and I'm not planning on having a baby, I'm a little worried.
Anyhow, that notwithstanding, I think she's telling me that I need to get my schedule back together, and get me back together. I haven't been putting any effort into looking good, or feeling good. I've basically just let myself fall into a deep depression, and I haven't really been trying to get out of it.
Card 2 - The Tower
This is a bit of a scary card. Tends to signal the ending of something, but then again, every ending signals a new beginning, and that's what I need, isn't it? A new beginning, and a new outlook on life, the universe, and whatever.
Card 3 - 5 Swords, Defeat
Well, this is shaping out to be a great week, isn't it? Sometimes you try, sometimes you fail. It's a part of life. Someone once said that if you haven't failed, then you haven't tried hard enough. The card shows the 5 pointed star, in the inverted position, so often acquainted with the horned devil. I'm not sure where this is taking me, but I will expect to reach some kind of impasse at some point this week.
Card 4 - 5 Discs, worry
Funny how we've got two fives right beside each other, showing the same five pointed star. I'm assuming they're linked. This one contains the symbol for Pluto, so perhaps I"m exorcising more demons.
Card 5 - Princess of Cups
She's flying to the heavens, and has a turtle in her hand. I'm sure the turtle means something, but I'm not sure what at this point. She's trying to not weigh herself down with thought, with emotion, but the image of the bird on her head tells me she's not being entirely successful.
Card 6 - 10 Discs, Wealth
Well now, I tell you if this means money, I'd be giddy. Sadly though, I doubt it. A wealth of something is coming to me, and I'm not entirely sure, or prepared for it. I"ll have to meditate on it a bit.
Card 7 - 2 Swords, Peace
maybe by the end of all of this I'll finally find some kind of peace. Peace of mind, peace of heart, peace of soul. Not sure which at this point, but a peace like I've never felt before. This card depicts two swords crossing through a flower, they've speared it at the central point where they intersect. Something is lost, but in the end, all is for the best.
